Panthers Take Down Franklin County, 59-45

The Jennings County Panthers traveled to Franklin County High School to face a potential sectional opponent in the Franklin County Wildcats. Coming out with energy and intensity, the Panthers took control early and never let up, cruising to a 59-45 victory. Jennings County came out firing, setting the tone early with strong energy on both ends of the floor to jump out to a quick double-digit lead. The Panthers jumped out to a 17-7 by the end of the opening quarter. That momentum carried into the second period, as Jennings County continued to control the pace of play, maintaining its double-digit advantage and heading into the locker room with a 29-18 halftime lead. The Panthers continued to hold the double-digit advantage they built in the opening quarter throughout much of the second half. Hayden Lowe knocked down multiple three-pointers in the third quarter to help keep the momentum on Jennings County’s side. From there, the Panthers stayed in control and cruised to a 59-45 victory.
