The Jennings County Panthers hosted the Jeffersonville Red Devils for an HHC conference showdown. Fueled by a dominant second-quarter performance, the Panthers secured an impressive 69-60 victory over the reigning Class 4A state champions. The opening quarter featured fast-paced, back-and-forth action, with both teams finding their rhythm offensively. Each side scored efficiently, resulting in a 17-17 deadlock at the end of the first quarter. The Panthers took charge in the second quarter, where they outscored Jeffersonville 22-5 in the period. Back-to-back three-pointers from Jerry Davis and Johnny Elkins ignited the surge, setting the tone for a dominant stretch. Elkins then delivered the exclamation point, knocking down a buzzer-beater to close the half and send the Panthers into the locker room with a 39-22 advantage.
