Panther Cross Country Shines at Duke Meyer Invitational

The Jennings County High School Cross Country teams turned in strong performances at the Duke Meyer Invitational in Hanover on Saturday, September 27. The boys team placed 2nd overall, with three runners finishing in the top 20. Max Rodriguez led the way, finishing 5th with a time of 17:10. Cash Summers followed in 8th place, while Zach Wahlman finished 10th. Dawson Leak (26th), Eli Lucas (27th), and Ellis Rodriguez (92nd) rounded out the Panthers’ effort. On the girls side, the Panthers captured the team championship, earning the top spot in the Invitational. Adistyn Long paced the group with a runner-up finish, clocking 19:53. She was joined in the top 20 by Alana Watts (8th), Shelby Allen (12th), and Addie Otte (18th). Strong performances also came from Macey Willhite (23rd), Bella Miller (30th), Molly Wathen (37th), Addey Herche (51st), Adriana Rowlett (52nd), Natalie Phillips (64th), and Haley Riffel (75th). The Panthers will be back in action this Saturday as they travel to Floyd Central for the HHC Championships. Way to go, Panthers XC!
