Already short in numbers, the pending holiday weekend took out half of the New Washington Mustang’s roster leaving them only with 2 varsity players for their Friday evening trip to North Vernon. JCHS tennis went on to defeat New Washington by the score of 4-1. With only two players playing actual matches, the Panthers were led by Owen Law’s victory over fellow sophomore Colin Brown at #1 singles, 6-0, 6-0. Freshman Ryan Schuck manned the #2 singles spot for JC and lost to the Mustang’s Hunter Eurton (9) 6-4, 6-2.
