JCHS tennis saw the return of two starters but fell to Columbus East in the consolation round of the HHC tournament by the score of 3-2. The Olympians jumped to an early 2-0 lead with victories over the JC freshman at #2 and #3 singles by scores of 6-0, 6-1 and 6-0, 6-0 respectively. Owen Law (10) put the Panthers on the scoreboard with a comeback 3-set win at #1 singles over East senior Pranav Kumar (0-6, 6-3, 6-2). Point #2 would come eventually at the very competitive #1 doubles slot manned by Jacob Vogel (11) and Justin Ramey (10). Jacob and Justin were able to out duel the Olympian duo of Derek Heideman and Matthew Denger by the score of 4-6, 6-4, 6-4. With the score tied 2-2, the #2 doubles team of Greyson Jackson (11) and Alex Leach (10) let a 5-4 (with Ad) lead slip away in the second set before succumbing in the decisive 3rd set 6-3.
